Celebrating 10 Years of Excellence: Deborah Stapel, APRN, FNP-C

This year marks a special milestone for Deborah Stapel, APRN, FNP-C—10 years of compassionate, patient-centered care at Kane Hall Barry Neurology.

Before joining KHB, Deborah built a strong foundation in neurology and patient education. She spent over a decade at Scripps Clinic Neurology in La Jolla, California, where she practiced general neurology. Later, she transitioned into pharmaceutical education as a Clinical Nurse Educator in Miami, Florida, educating providers across Southern Florida on psychiatric disease states and pharmacology.

Deborah quickly found her stride and became a key part of KHB’s growing provider team. When she first joined, there were only four physicians and two nurse practitioners. Today, she’s watched that team expand to meet the growing needs of North Texas communities.

In her current role as a Family Nurse Practitioner, Deborah brings deep expertise in migraines, multiple sclerosis, sleep disorders, and Parkinson’s disease, with a special certification in Headache Medicine and Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) programming. Her patients know her for her thoughtful approach and tireless advocacy.

Outside of the office, Deborah is a busy mom to her 10-year-old son, Konnor, and a devoted wife to her husband, Anthony. Most of her free time is spent cheering Konnor on at soccer, flag football, and jiu-jitsu matches, or relaxing at home with their beloved cat, Buddy.

When asked what excites her most about Kane Hall Barry Neurology’s future, Deborah says,

“I love that we keep growing—but never at the expense of care. I see Kane Hall Barry Neurology continuing to innovate while always keeping patients at the center.”

Congratulations, Deborah, on a decade of dedication and excellence. Your Kane Hall Barry Neurology family is grateful for your continued contributions and compassionate care.
