Sleep FAQ's
What is a sleep disorder?
The term “sleep disorders” refers to all conditions that affect sleep quality, timing, and duration that ultimately impacts your ability to conduct your normal activities.
The most common sleep disorders are Insomnia, Sleep Apnea, Narcolepsy, Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS), Parasomnias, REM Sleep Behavior Disorder, Non-24-Hour Sleep Wake Disorder, and Excessive Sleepiness.
Lack of sleep increases your risk of depression, anxiety, asthma, accidents, infertility, epilepsy, and diabetes.
While approximately 28% of the adults in the Unites States report frequent, insufficient sleep, the overwhelming majority of sleep disorders remain undiagnosed.
