Now Seeing Patients: Kinzi Self, MSN, APRN, AGACNP-BC

We are proud to announce the addition of Kinzi Self, MSN, APRN, AGACNP-BC to our provider team at Kane Hall Barry Neurology. Kinzi officially begins seeing patients today, July 21st, and will be practicing primarily at our Bedford and Keller clinic locations.

Kinzi is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner who brings over seven years of nursing experience in high-acuity critical care settings. Most notably, she spent several years in the Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit at Parkland Memorial Hospital, caring for patients with complex neurological conditions such as stroke, seizures, traumatic brain injuries, and other acute neurological events.

Kinzi Self, MSN, APRN, AGACNP-BC

Kinzi earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Oklahoma and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington. Her extensive background spans burn, medicine, surgical, cardiovascular, and neurocritical care units, along with additional clinical training in trauma, orthopedics, liver and GI clinics, and hospitalist care. This broad experience gives her a unique, whole-patient perspective and deep understanding of the neurological patient journey—from acute crisis to recovery.

At Kane Hall Barry Neurology, Kinzi will focus on providing individualized, evidence-based care for patients with stroke, seizures, headaches, movement disorders, and other neurological conditions. She is particularly passionate about stroke recovery and equitable access to healthcare. Kinzi approaches care with empathy, active listening, and an unwavering commitment to ensuring her patients feel heard, validated, and supported.

Outside of work, Kinzi enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and crafting. Her well-rounded background and passion for patient-centered care align perfectly with Kane Hall Barry Neurology’s longstanding mission: Patient Centered Quality Care since 1995.

Supporting Growth and Access to Neurological Care in North Texas

Kinzi’s arrival comes at a pivotal time in our practice’s growth. As Kane Hall Barry Neurology expands its Keller clinic and prepares to relocate to a new, state-of-the-art Bedford facility later this year, her addition ensures that we can continue to meet the growing demand for timely, specialized neurological care across the DFW metroplex.

We’ve proudly served the community for over 30 years. With the addition of Kinzi as our fifth nurse practitioner, we’re better equipped than ever to provide accessible, compassionate, and expert care that reflects the needs of our patients and the strength of our community.
