At Kane Hall Barry Neurology, we’re proud to highlight the incredible individuals behind the scenes who help keep our patient experience running smoothly. One of those team members is Felix, who is our insurance verification specialist with sharp problem-solving skills, a calm presence, and a passion for getting things right.
Felix joined KHB nearly eight months ago and has already made a big impact. They ensure our patients’ insurance details are accurate, check-in processes are seamless, and claim submissions go off without a hitch. They’ve also begun handling prior authorizations for Botox, diving deeper into the nuances of insurance plans and coverage.
“I love the puzzle-solving aspect of my job,” Felix shared. “That ‘Aha!’ moment after spending so much time on a patient’s plan feels so fulfilling.”
A Unique Journey to KHB
Before joining our team, Felix worked in a podiatrist’s office for about a year. But their longest career stint was nearly eight years working with dogs—a passion that still shows. Ask them about their three beloved pets: Lainey Lou (a sweet pup) and two playful cats, Sushi and Jiji.
Life Outside the Office
Felix is married and enjoys spending quality time with their spouse and furry companions. Outside of work, you might find them hiking, birdwatching, reading, exploring museums, or getting immersed in a favorite video game. One travel highlight? Visiting the Garden of the Gods in Colorado.
“Being surrounded by mountains brings me peace and inspiration,” Felix said. “It’s something I’ll never forget.”
