At Kane Hall Barry Neurology, we take pride in recognizing the hard work and dedication of our team members. This year, we are thrilled to celebrate Mike’s 10-year anniversary with our practice! Over the past decade, Mike has played a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency of our Infusion department and beyond.

Mike joined KHB in 2015 in a newly created part-time position—one that didn’t even have a job description at the time! He quickly took on multiple responsibilities, including manually tracking infusion inventory using spreadsheets and handwritten nurse’s notes. Thanks to innovations like WeInfuse, our fully integrated electronic infusion record and inventory system, his work has evolved significantly over the years.

“As time has gone by, I’ve taken on more than just maintaining Infusion inventory tasks, eventually working into a full-time role,Mike shares. Today, he oversees drug and supply inventory for the entire office, ensuring that our team has everything they need to provide top-notch patient care.

10-years-recognition

Before joining KHB, Mike built an impressive career in both retail and healthcare. He spent 18 years at Dillard’s, Inc., with a decade as a Divisional Buyer and later as a Corporate Home Buyer. Prior to that, he worked in hospital pharmacy operations at Houston Methodist Hospital, where he managed drug ordering and distribution.

When reflecting on his time at KHB, Mike highlights the incredible team he works with.

“I’ve always appreciated working with all the folks here who are knowledgeable and caring in what they bring to the practice. In a medical setting like this, you work with very smart people, all focused on a patient-first approach.”

One of the biggest benefits Mike has found in his time at KHB is a better work-life balance.

Looking ahead, Mike is excited for the future of KHB: “KHB has done nothing but grow in my time here, and I know that will continue. We’ve all been through some highs and lows, but there’s a sense of accomplishment in coming out the other end better than before. Keep learning and growing—do your job, and things will come together.”

Thank you, Mike, for your dedication and contributions over the past 10 years. We are grateful for your hard work and look forward to many more years together!
