Kane Hall Barry Neurology is thrilled to celebrate a remarkable milestone: Lauri’s 20th anniversary with our team! Since 2004, Lauri has been an integral part of Kane Hall Barry, bringing dedication, hard work, and humor to everything she does.

Lauri currently serves as a Coding & Reimbursement Specialist, handling infusion charges, claim denials, and appeals, a challenging role she embraces wholeheartedly. Before joining the Billing Department, Lauri worked at the Front Desk, where she made countless memories with staff and patients alike:

I feel so honored to have worked for KHB for twenty years! I remember way back in 2004 to 2006, we only had one office with two front desk staff: one at check-in and one at check-out. I was the “checker-inner,” and my pal Linny was the “checker-outer.” We called ourselves the Dream Team!

Twenty years ago, behind the scenes at Kane Hall Barry Neurology, the team operated with a small, close-knit staff who juggled a variety of roles to ensure the practice ran smoothly. Front desk staff managed everything from answering phones, checking patients in and out, and collecting copays to entering charges, sorting mail, and scanning hospital charges and insurance payments. These responsibilities provided critical support to the billing office, which consisted of just three people working remotely—long before remote work became commonplace.

At that time, the practice had only one location in Bedford and three physicians: Drs. Kane, Hall, and Barry. Each doctor worked closely with their own dedicated medical assistant, and there were no scribes (medical personnel who notate for the doctors). This simplicity required everyone to wear multiple hats and contribute to nearly every aspect of patient care and administrative tasks. It was a time of hands-on teamwork, where efficiency and collaboration were the foundation of daily operations.

“Believe it or not, we used to have annual Christmas parties at Dr. Barry’s or Dr. Kane’s house. We could all fit in one place.”

After 20 years of dedication, Lauri has witnessed remarkable growth. Kane Hall Barry Neurology now employs nine board-certified neurologists and four nurse practitioners across three clinic locations in Bedford, Keller, and Mansfield, two of which include Infusion Centers. Over eighty employees now contribute to patient care, with fifteen team members having worked with the practice for more than a decade and four more celebrating their tenth anniversaries in 2025.

In recognition of her two decades of service, Lauri was thrilled to receive a James Avery charm bracelet engraved with “KHB,” a cherished tradition for employees reaching this incredible milestone.
