POSITION TITLE: Accountant STATUS: Exempt
REPORTS TO: Practice Administrator
DIRECT REPORTS: N/A


ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE: Responsible for providing accounting support and performing accounting and
clerical functions. Has the ability to work diligently to help maintain smooth operations. Undertake a variety of
activities in accounting ranging from invoicing, filing, reconciliation, and accounts payable. You must be reliable
and hardworking with great communication skills with knowledge of accounting procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Analyses business and financial data.
• Creates financial models based on analyses to support organizational decision making.
• Develops financial plans and reports for organizational leaders.
• Track current financial data to alert stakeholders in case of deviation
• Create written reports that enable management teams to make strategic decisions to meet business
goals
• Produce monthly reports, which include key metrics, financial results, and variance reporting
• Spearhead the annual and quarterly budgeting and forecasting processes
• Identify opportunities for performance improvement across the organization
• Maintain knowledge and keep abreast of new applicable regulations or policies
• Assist office management and organization procedures
• Filing. Maintain files and records so they remain updated and easily accessible.
• Utilize office appliances such as photocopier, printers etc. and computers for word processing,
spreadsheet creation etc.
• Ensure timely and accurate accounts payable duties.
• Coding credit card transactions.
• Order processing and basic accounting entries.
• Posts journal entries to general ledger.
• Other job duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Accounting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to include superior interpersonal and patient contact
skills and excellent telephone manners.
• Ability to effectively lead a team


ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE, NOT REQUIRED:
• At least one (1) years of Management experience
• At least one (1) year of related experience in a healthcare setting
