Kane Hall Barry Neurology’s Dena Miller was asked to be one of six headache specialists in the country on an “Ask the Expert” panel for the new migraine drug Aimovig. Dena is the only provider in Tarrant County with an “Added Qualification in Headache Medicine” from the National Headache Foundation. Dena’s insight into the realities of migraines provided valuable feedback for the attendees.
Dena reports “I am excited about this new therapy for migraines, as it is the most targeted since the triptans. I feel fortunate to be knowledgable about this new class of drugs that target CGRP (Calcitonin Gene-Related Peptide). Aimovig is available to our patients now, with several more of these types of drugs coming available in the next year or two.”
